HKS is seeking a Regional HR Business Partner to support the Pacific and Mountain regions of the firm. Reporting to the Dallas based HR Director, this person will be the stand-alone HR professional serving as the first point of contact for all HR matters in the region, which currently includes California, Arizona, Colorado and Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Assist int'l employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, including contract renewal review.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Oversees and administers the immigration process for employment.
  • HR Projects, including recognition and wellness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree is desired.
  • Professional Certification desirable.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience required.
