Our IT team in our Dallas office is seeking a Data Scientist to design and develop enterprise and department business intelligence, data warehousing, and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Must be familiar with the following data warehousing concepts:
  • Data Warehouse vs Data Mart vs Operational Data Store
  • Relational vs dimensional modeling
  • 3rd normal form database normalization
  • OLTP vs OLAP
  • Star and Snowflake Schemas
  • Create automated and maintainable ETL processes to move data in and out of a data warehouse
  • Maintain database systems and data integrity/quality
  • Proficient with the Microsoft SQL Server Stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
  • Experience with Power BI/Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Familiar with object oriented programming concepts
  • Experience with Azure database management, C# /.NET development is a plus
  • Provide production support for key business functions
  • Promote and adhere to coding and version control standards
  • Collect and analyze data from disparate sources
  • Effectively communicate and understand business requirements
  • Self-manage tasks within the agile business methodology

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program or equivalent experience required. Any higher-level degree is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience building/maintaining Transactional and Analytical database management systems
  • 3+ years of experience working with the Microsoft SQL Server stack
  • 3+ years of business intelligence experience
  • Prior experience in an Agile environment is a plus
