Our Dallas office is looking for a Education/Academic Strategist to be the apart of the Education team. 

Responsibilities

As part of the Education Sector Leadership Team, to be collaboratively responsible for promoting, influencing, and representing HKS Education Marketplace, with goals of continuous improvement of educational environments, and HKS services.

Responsibilities:

  • Academic Thought Leadership and Subject Matter Expertise
    • Provide subject matter expertise on established and emerging educational ideas, frameworks, and practices so that design may be responsive to the specific needs of education institutions.
    • Distill ideas, frameworks, and practices into relevant design principles that may inform future education projects.
  • Relationship Cultivation to Spur Business Development
    • Build and sustain relationships across the education ecosystem through conferences, industry events, etc.
    • Develop and facilitate cultivation events.
  • Vision-Setting and Educational Consulting
    • Liaise between the client and the architects to ensure optimal levels of communication and collaboration.
    • Partner with new clients to help establish their instructional vision and corresponding needs, as they pertain to the built environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication to Inspire Progressive Learning Environments
    • Communicate with stakeholders through various media regarding the importance and impact of the built environment on student learning experiences and outcomes.
    • Inspire educators to shift their mindsets and tendencies about how they view and utilize the built environment to support student learning.

Qualifications

  • Educational Degree, Masters Preferred
  • 5-10 Years Educational Industry Experience
  • Familiar with Planning/Design Processes for Educational Environments
